What You'll See & Do

THE BEST BARCELONA SAILING EXPERIENCE
The exquisite views of Barcelona’s picturesque skyline are best enjoyed from the peaceful, glistening waters of the Mediterranean Sea—completely unobstructed. In a busy city of over 1.6 million inhabitants, sailing out into the Mediterranean provides a relaxing respite from all the hustle and bustle.

WE HAVE BOTH PRIVATE BARCELONA SAILING TOURS AND SHARED GROUP TOURS
Choose a day or sunset sail upon booking and make your own way to Barcelona’s city centre Port Olímpic harbour to meet your modern sailboat. Your captain will welcome you aboard and provide a safety briefing before you set off into the Mediterranean. Keep your camera handy for great photo ops of the iconic Montjuïc, where the Olympic Games were held, and spectacular views of the city skyline. Soak up the sun and fresh air before returning to your starting point to end your sailing cruise.

SAILING IN BARCELONA CAN BE RELAXING, ADVENTUROUS, AND EDUCATIONAL
Have the option to get involved as much or as little as you like during the sail. Learn to work the winch, trim the sails, and grab the wheel of the classic sailboat as the skipper demonstrates key sailing skills and then lets you try your hand at it. Bring sunscreen and hats, plus bathing suits and towels if you’re planning to swim.

Depending on weather conditions, your skipper will decide your route, leaving you free to relax and drink in the scenery and sunshine. In between the optional swimming and sunbathing, refresh your energy with the drinks and snacks, freshly prepared for you. (Due to Covid-19, we can no longer provide these for you, so you must bring your own refreshments).

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that whilst travelling plans can change and that you may need to cancel your tours. Just give us 24 hours advance notice, and we will offer a full refund on any amount that you have paid (with the exception of private group trips, which must be cancelled 7 days in advance for a full refund… of course exceptions are made for COVID related travel issues). If you need to cancel within 24 hours of our reservation we normally cannot offer any refund, unless we can fill your spots. It may be possible to reschedule your booking for another day, depending on availability.

We usually do not cancel tours due to overcast skies, but we do cancel trips for steady rain, powerful wind, thunderstorms, or any weather the skipper feels is dangerous. If you have reserved a tour, we email you if we are cancelling the trip due to weather and give you a choice of either rescheduling (depending on availability) or receiving a full refund. We will do this as soon as we know the tour will be cancelled, however, this can sometimes not be until the morning before the tour.

Where do the tours start and when should I arrive?
Our boat is moored in the Port Olímpic harbour. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to our agreed start time.

Where do we keep our stuff during the activity?
Please only bring with you what you will be carrying on the tour.

What route will we be taking?
Your skipper will choose a route for your trip based on the wind, currents, etc.

How many people go on your tours?
Can be up to 8 on mixed tours and up to 9 on private tours.

Will I get wet?
Most probably. If you want to jump into the Mediterranean to cool off from the summer sun, great! If you’re sitting on deck, there’s a chance you could also get a refreshing splash.

Can we join another group?
Yes, you can choose from private or shared group tours.

Can we bring food or drinks with us?
Yes! You can bring anything you like.

What footwear should we wear?
Something comfortable and practical. High heels should be avoided, both for your own safety and to prevent damaging the wooden decks.

Can we stop for a swim/snorkel?
Yes! If the sea is calm enough and it usually is, especially in the morning. It should be warm enough for the braver swimmers in late May. The rest of us might prefer to wait until mid-June for the temperature to rise a little more.

Can we play music?
Yes, we have Bluetooth speakers on board.

Do we need to know anything about sailing?
Absolutely not! The skipper will do the sailing, while you do the relaxing! But if you do want to get involved in sailing the boat, we encourage that!

How fit do we need to be?
The cruise is a relaxing trip, not a work-out, so fitness isn’t an issue. However, to board the boat you do need to climb a couple of steps up the boarding ladder. If you have any problems with mobility, let us know and we’ll arrange to collect you from the fuel dock, where you can simply step aboard.

Is there a toilet onboard?
Yes, but it can be a bit of a challenge with the boat moving through the waves, so we suggest going before the trip, there is a toilet close by so just ask the skipper upon arrival.

What about seasickness?
Most of our boats are pretty stable but if you are sensitive to motion sickness, we recommend a medicine called “Stugeron” (generic name – Cinnarizine). You can get it over the counter at any pharmacy. Take one tablet about an hour before sailing. If you do feel queasy on the boat, the best advice is to lie on your back and close your eyes for a few minutes. It works wonders for most people.

Who will be taking me on the tour?
One of our experienced skippers and crew.

What are the age restrictions?
Minimum of 10 years old for the shared group tour. We have no age restrictions for private groups, but please get in touch before booking for kids under 3 years old.

Where is your office in Barcelona?
We are an office-less company, that way we keep our overheads low and can pass these savings onto you.

Do I need to tip my guide?
No, only if you want to and feel that it’s deserved. Tips are never expected but always appreciated.

Don’t just take our word for it!
