Barcelona in October: What to do?

A notebook and pens with notes inside

With the arrival of October, we want to do activities beyond the crowds of the last months of summer and all the madness that goes with the heat.

During this month you will enjoy a wide range of activities, such as cultural, gastronomic, maybe artistic activities like our walking tours and bike tours  that you can enjoy throughout the year.

Returning to the subject that interests us, I present a most terrifying event.

If you like the Seventh Art, you will enjoy it like a child. From 4 to 14 October, the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia is celebrated, also known as the Festival of Cinema or Festival of Sitges. Although this festival does not take place in the city, you can access it by train, car, taxi or bus. We recommend you to go by train and maximise your time and enjoy not only the cinema but the whole town and its charm. During this period, the famous Zombie march is organized.

So, if you see a lot of zombies, animals or monsters on the street, it’s not the end of the world. You can take some photos with them or even do some choreography. Every year for the festival dates, many fans of this genre of invents, dressup to get incredible results worthy of the best horror film.
Do you remember the famous Walking Dead series?
Well, you can experience the same sensation by crossing the streets of Sitges.

If you also want to see the festival closely, just browse the official website of sitges festival and book your subscriptions for the movies you want. Also on this site, you can see all the news about the Festival, the directors, the actors, as well as the scoop this year with the actor Nicolas Cage.
If you like movies and you like strong emotions, you shouldn’t miss this Festival, which is not suitable for everyone.
